Machines & Network DiscoveryThe Machines window displays VBS Overlay machines detected on the local network.It is used to identify available machines, check their IP addresses, access remote actions, open Monitoring Wall and organize machines visually with colors.Machine listEach machine can show a screen thumbnail, machine name, local or remote status, IP address and identification color.The Local label means that the displayed machine is the computer currently running VBS Overlay.ScanScan manually restarts network discovery. VBS MessengerVBS Messenger is the local LAN messaging module in VBS Overlay.It allows operators to send messages between VBS Overlay machines on the same local network.ConversationsThe left panel lists direct machine conversations and named groups.Refresh updates the list. VBS QuickShareVBS QuickShare is a fast LAN file transfer module.It lets a guest device exchange files with a VBS Overlay machine through a temporary QR code, PIN and local web page, without installing software on the guest side.Guest accessGuest access shows the temporary PIN and QR code used to join the session.The PIN expires after a short time and can be renewed with Renew PIN.Guest connection addressesThese are the LAN addresses available for connection. Bitfocus Companion / OSCThe VBS Overlay Companion module lets Bitfocus Companion and Stream Deck control VBS Overlay over OSC and remote status.It includes ready-to-use buttons for FileSync, Hot Corners, Live Media Renamer, MIDI Bridge, Operator Clock, Timecode, Remote status and general VBS actions.InstallationUse the Companion module included in the VBS Overlay ZIP. This keeps Companion actions, variables, feedbacks and OSC endpoints aligned with the installed VBS Overlay version.Connection settingsIn Companion, create a VBS Overlay connection and enter the target machine IP address, OSC port and remote status settings.OSCCompanion actions mainly send OSC commands to VBS Overlay.
